MIS performs for the 60th Araw ng Balo-i
After the success of the presentation of the MIS Dance Troupe at the Araw ng Lanao del Norte, Mayor Hanifa Ali of the Municipality of Balo-I, once again requested Moneerah Integrated School to perform in their Celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the Araw ng Balo-I on August 1,2008 at the Balo-I Municipal Hall, Balo-I, Lanao del Norte.

MIS Dance troupe once again brought honor as they performed the Sagayan Dance during the 14th Barangay 
Ubaldo Laya Anniversary Celebration last July 25, 2008.
Participants from different schools
and organizations from the different puroks of Barangay Ubaldo Laya enjoyed the sunshine as they marched around Pala-o market headed by Barangay Captain Antonio Flores.
The
said event was highlighted by the presence of the Iligan City councilors, including our very own, MIS president, Hon. Alexander A. Ali, who lead the Islamic Invocation during the program

It was an honor for MIS to earn the 4th place in the Sagayan Festival showdown during the 49th Araw ng Lanao del Norte celebration held on July 3, 2008 at the Mindanao Civic Center (MCC) in Tubod, Lanao del Norte.
Twenty five pupils were chosen by the school to represent the Municipality of Balo-I in the said competition
Sagayan is a Maranao War dance depicting the exploits, the mysterious powers and th
e 
remarkable character of Datu Bantugan, the legendary hero of the Darangen, in pursuit of rescuing his sister, Princess Lawanen.
It was a very memorable event for the students and the teachers alike. The experience taught them discipline, gave them exposure and confidence, and most importantly, they learned to appreciate the Maranao culture.
